Default Tiger Woods had to be extricated from a Genesis SUV

    Did I miss a thread? Can't believe no-one's talking about Tiger's accident.

That couldn't be more wrong. His other "driving issues" weren't in the same stratosphere as this one. Previous accidents/tickets notwithstanding, one of the most recognizable and influential athletes of a generation rolled his car, broke his legs and ankle/foot (while in recovery from his 5th back surgery), and had to get extricated with the jaws of life... this is big news.

A lot of the focus has been on when/if he'll return to golf, when really it should be about how his kids are still fortunate to have a dad.

They are at the Genesis invitational.
I would assume all participants were provided a vehicle.

He was at a tournament his company sponsors/hosts with Genesis, so he was driving their vehicle for all his obligations.

I mean couldn’t he have just driven from the Peking lot to the clubhouse in the Hyundai?

Sounds like it would have been safer?

Multiple open fractures on his legs.. fuck that sucks. Probably the end of his competitive career.

Looks like a lot of damage for an accident in a residential area

First thought is that he's still hooked on painkillers. Almost feel bad for the guy despite all of his success.

That poor, poor Genesis. Cut down in its prime. Taken from us far too soon.

I thought he was all hopped up on painkillers from recent surgery or something. There was a post on Twitter I think that he jumped in the GV80 and almost ran someone over when he took off.

Rich famous people who can't get off the painkillers or other drugs should probably have someone else drive them. He's made over a Billion in career earnings, I assume some of that is left to pay someone $50k/yr to drive he high-ass around. This is ridiculous.

“There was no evidence of any impairment whatsoever. He was lucid, no odor of alcohol, no evidence of any medication, narcotics or anything like that. That was not a concern so no field sobriety test and no drug expert needed to respond. This is what it is – an accident.”

I don't buy that he was "clean" during this crash, and if that's actually true, then he's got bigger mental problems then he ever let on. Still either way, he should have a driver. he's approaching Britney levels of trainwreck with his life.

Maybe you can hold a conservatorship for him and control his money for the next dozen years.
