Default Best 7/8 Passenger Used Vehicle Under $30K

In the market for a new to us people mover, needs to be 3 rows of seats.

Budget is $30K. Any suggestions of best bang for bucks used SUV/crossover vehicle?

    Wish list:
    -decent fuel economy
    -AWD, FWD, or selectable 4WD
-under 80K km (totally arbitrary, any have thoughts on most kms they'd consider buying)
    -8 passenger preferred

Leaning toward 3 row mid sized SUV. Willing to sacrifice 3 seats in back row, to get out of the minivan category.

Used Merceds GL. I don't think Lexus RX started coming with 3rd row till just recently, so would be hard pressed to find one for 30k$, otherwise that would be my suggestion.

Fuel economy wouldn't be amazing, but you could get into a couple year old pathfinder with under 50k km with lots of options in that range. Gets you some warranty and AWD. Limited to 7 seats rather than 8, though.

What are you putting in the 7/8 seats? Because if you have any dream of moving 8 adults, you need to move up to a Transit or Sprinter. Those are both awesome though, and cooler than ANY SUV (Other than a 90's GMC Suburban)

EDIT: good morning @SKR , yeah suburbans are awesome, and this one is more awesome than most. I tried to find an expedition I would recommend, but honestly, Suburbans were bigger and better most years. And I doubt he wants an excursion.

Obviously you wrote this before you saw the Suburban I posted above. 90s GM is the answer for everything.

Might be same platform, but have seven seat belts, as long as you are transporting midgets. Otherwise, Suburban or Transit.

To be fair. How often are you filling a 7 seater vehicle with something other than midgets

Filling the seats with midgets (3 kids under 9) and occasionally their friends. The rear seats only need to be big enough for small booster seat, no adults or car seats going back there. Vehicle needs to fit in standard double car garage, the full size super SUVs are out. Honda Pilot, Toyota Highlander may be good options.

Likely too expensive due to rarity as there can be only one.

2010+ Acura MDX. Never had an issue with my TL of the same year and engine @ 200k. Needs premium fuel however.

    2019 model. 48K hail sale $28900.

But Theres lots of 2nd/3rd gen Highlanders (2nd gen 2008-2013/some 3rd gen 2014-19) under $25K if u up the KMs to under 120K. My 2008 model has 300K when I bought her and she runs like a tank, engine runs mint still. I think the 2nd/3rd gen Highlanders were the best years
