There's quite a few areas that are not perfect, and if I paid someone to do this, I'd be pissed about the details, but then again, i was too cheap to pay someone, so it's acceptable.

If anyone else is looking to DIY this kind of work and want it to look professional, I recommend buying the more expensive thicker vinyl planks. They should be a little easier to install, these thin ones are very easy to break the edges on. And for best install, remove the damned baseboards, lol, it will make the install portion faster. And if you are buying a "contour gauge" get the longest/deepest one you can find. I bought a really small one, and it wasn't that useful.

Perfect for what you need right now, your kids are going to ruin it soon enough.

That was my thought. Total cost was right around $500, and if I wasn't always being called away for family bullshit, it could have easily been done in one weekend. Under 20 hours actual working time, and I work slow.

Hmmm our optimal setups for murder dungeons are very very different.

I think it looks really nice, and you did a great job. These people are all jerks.

I'm satisficed with it. Materials were about $500, and I paid out $50 in beers for some power tools I needed to borrow. You aren't doing much better for $550 in any size of room.

It's what a murder room looks like when you don't want people to know you have a murder room.
