Default Wiring self managed POE camera in to security company wiring?

Anybody done this? i am moving soon and the place has Vivint or something, I'm not keeping it, but i might keep some of the camera locations/wiring if it might work, i think it all runs to the same panel as all the cat6 throughout the house, so if i can just use the existing wiring that'd be ideal, anybody know how many wires those systems use? or if it's possible?

Vivint or something is going to be wifi. People would never let them into their homes if the security 'techs' wanted to punch the building full of holes for camera feeds.

I am sure the panel in the basement had security provisions.... even if not, surely they still need power at least? i cant imagine people would pay for a service they need to charge batteries on.

I guess you will know when you get there. The Vivint cameras I’ve ever seen all had cords with wall warts.

If they have 4 conductor or Coax, you could get a camera that uses that. if its 4 conductor, use Baluns.

I have used these in the past.

I don't remember what they cost, but i don't think they are super cheap. Might just be easier to run new cable.
