Sitting in BC place watching the Grey Cup at a nice temp of 20 degrees while it was -6 outside was very enjoyable.

I am a big proponent of having the CFL/XFL perhaps really be the farm teir for the NFL...

I am a big proponent of having the CFL/XFL (brought to you by JyzzVape3000, "It really stings the lungs") perhaps be the farm system for the Big Pharma sponsored ALL DRUG FOOTBALL LEAGUE!

I know I'm one of the only guys on here that truly prefers the CFL over well...any other football. I know this is a business survival angle but there is something oh so Canadian about freezing your ass off to watch guys that could just as easily be your neighbour. I've known a handful of CFL players personally over the year and it just makes it more authentic. I can't relate to the guy that makes $3.6M a year playing special teams and gets 2:16 of playing time each game.

    I'll live with it...if I have to...I guess.

I have worked with Stu Laird and Szrecko Zizacovic on a couple projects in the last few years. CFL dudes are nice dudes. Love the people. Just don't see how the league survives without something drastic changing.

    The CFL changed my life.

When you have nothing and you’re scratching and clawing for everything you can get - all in the spirit of making your football dreams come true.

You become the hardest worker in the room.

    You will not be denied.

I knew in my heart I was going to make it in the CFL - and parlay that into a very successful career in the NFL.
Maybe even win a Super Bowl...

But neither of those dreams came close to coming true.

Truth is, I just wasn’t good enough and it wasn’t my time.

    The CFL sent me home.
I was still grateful to a man who would eventually become a mentor and friend, Wally Buono for even giving me the opportunity.
    I had $7 bucks.

But it’s funny how sometimes life comes full circle.

    Now I’m back.
Same hungry kid, but much different man.

As an owner of the XFL, our discussions with the CFL have been very exciting. There’s a real pulse here because you can feel the unique opportunity we can potentially create together.

Wherever it all leads, I can tell you this one is personal to me and is driven by all my passion - because me being cut by the CFL was the greatest thing that happened.
It set me on a path that years later would lead me right back to the league.

To help create even greater and bigger opportunities for all our players and all our fans.

As an owner who’s had his hands in the dirt - my loyalty will always lie with the players and fans.

I’ll keep you posted as our XFL/CFL discussions unfold.
    Got your back.

So yes, the CFL changed my life, in ways I could’ve never imagined

Used to take the CTrain with Jon Cornish.
By that, he was in the same cattle carrier as me before covid.

It feels like we're watching the missing season of Ballers that explains how the Rock was able to jump up to getting a stake in the Chiefs

I'd almost think cfl should pare down to smaller cities. Compete in west and periodically travel east and play.
    Playoffs would be across Canada.

Let's be honest, small cities probably have more turnout for tier 2 pros.

I love the players but the game is so boring compares to NFL. Used to work with Godfrey Ellis that won the cup with the Stamps in 2008, nicest guy ever, told us so many cool football stories

    I've got it:
Thunder bay, Winnipeg, Regina, Edmonton and Halifax. One five team division.

I don't know, was thinking out loud and thinking cost cutting. Reduce travel.

    Next idea.
8 drink minimum upon entry to stadium.

Doesn't work for Stamps because that just makes the UofC rich (from what I remember UofC own the beverage rights).
