    Default CFL/XFL merger?

    https://twitter.com/XFL2022/status/1...435122689?s=20

Not quite sure what to make of this, but there appears to be some serious discussion going on between the two leagues.

I'd hate to see the CFL get taken down if the XFL v3.0 investors pull the plug, but I don't think the CFL will last much longer on their own anyways. Hell, I'm surprised they've made it through COVID this far. Go big or go home I guess

Does this mean we can get one more team to make the divisions equal?

Only if they're named the Roughriders.

I like watching football live, that’s really the only positive I see out if this.

I’d probably be something resembling a STH with XFL and a covered stadium.

CFL is an unsustainable business. Does this help that? Because without major changes the CFL will just fold.

Isn't average CFL fan age like 60?

Since XFL is an NFL off season league, they will play March to July?

Either way, the boomers CFL fans probably won't like it. But it's either this or nothing at all.

I don’t really care what they call the league so long as I can go watch football and drink beer. Also covered stadium.

This would be great. Might actually make CFL watchable.

For real though, The Rock and his business partners bought XFL. Considering he's always had a soft spot for the CFL and Stampeders, this might actually end up alright.

I'd be into it, i enjoy a day out to the Stamps game...but as @killramos says, so long as I can get a beer and watch the game I'm solid...DGAF about an enclosed arena though...outside is where true sportsfans wanna be :P

I’ve had one too many stamps games ruined by absolute garbage weather at McMahon for my candy ass.
