Well, its also pretty safe to assume its not a hardline configuration error. If there was a bad update with wired headend Cisco or Juniper, then half of the world would be down right now.

Its obviously something wrong with a misconfiguration on a fat finger or wireless headend. That it also shutdown wired customers is probably a side effect.

So its very safe to assume: Ericsson is to blame if they are being truthful about a bad update. When do many datacenters usually choose 2AM to 5AM after summer or winter? Wait for data lulz off the steam sales, it is literally a thing. There is no such thing as a data slowdown on banking, its pretty much the same five days a week with no yearly slowdowns other than holidays.

How much mobile data does an average user have for banking app? Even less than email. Genshin or Clash or clans? Probably clogging up their storage space.

F-35 is shit, but Ericsson looking like it might be shittier. As to why Ericsson is so bad? Probably trying to play catchup on 5G, still being a solid two years behind. Someone will eventaully make a Genshin MMO VR on mobile, and then 6G will be too slow.

From what I'm seeing, its definitely not back to 100% yet. Spurious traffic and unusually long ping times on the wired network.

They definitely have some issues going on.

I was on Vancouver island when the outage went down. When ppl here saying it was back up, we had full bars and no data for another 8 hours before it recovered. Even then, there were areas in the city where we drive through, full bars, no data till it roamed off to the next cell tower. Was almost unusable there. Not surprised they’re not fully back up yet.

Remember when Van Isle used get constant roaming bullshit charges because you'd latch onto a tower in USA while just existing and then you'd have to fight about the charges??!
