Default Any PC/Console Steering Wheel/Pedal recommendations?

Recently bought Forza Horizon 4 for PC and have been hooked, so I got a couple other racing genre games and now would like to get a decent driving setup. Would like to keep it under $500, hoping someone has some recommendations on a set with pedals. Shifter add on would be a plus but not a must. I think the last set I ever had was for Xbox many years ago so I have no clue what is good.

Also, do they all have feedback or is that only on some models?

    TIA

You get what you pay for when it comes to steering wheels. For the low end, I’ve had decent success with the Logitech gear. They lasted around 3 years before breaking on me. Before breaking it would feel looser as shit wore out. I’ve since switched to fanatec, way more expensive, but they’re indestructible and still feels as tight as the day I bought it. Definitely over engineered.

I have a Logitech G27. Have had it 7 years or so and have used it a bunch (especially during COVID times). No complaints.
I play rfactor and now Asseto Corsa.
I believe its update is G29 with shifter sold separately.

I haven't pulled the trigger, but from what I've read, the new-new G923 is the same thing as the G29/G920, which was the same thing as the G27.

Is it worth getting the mounting table? I found the G29 on Amazon, no shifter though. Ado they mount good enough to the PC desk, or is it a lot better with the chair mount assembly?

I have a G920 and have logged 44000km of in game driving with it with no issues, however I plan to get some fancy Fanatec stuff likely in the next year or so to upgrade to.

G27 was what I had. That was the one that wore out on me and eventually died. I replaced it with another one which I ended up selling when I moved to fanatec.

I wonder if it’s my aggressive style of driving, as I have very aggressive inputs when turning in, that’s wearing them out. Back when Microsoft had its own line of wheels for the Xbox 360 I would destroy one every 2 months from playing F1. Force feedback would die first, then eventually the steering wheel would be wobbling.

Good info and pics here for you to look at various setups:
