I know this kid thru a relation of mine. Strange deal, he just vanished the other night. At first I heard he went missing at 3 am, leaving a cottage to walk across the lake either to a party/ or from. Its now been changed to 12:30, and he called his mother to pick him up, she was supposedly 5 mins away. They found his hat out on the lake, and his cell phone last pinged out on the lake. But no trace otherwise. They increased the reward to 200k today. My immediate thought would have been he went thru the ice, but they say things are still fully frozen there.

Update, he was found deceased a bit ago.

Awful news. I'm looking at the map and the closest island to speak of is Spruce Island which is still half a click away from shore.
