    A blue job? lol

My wife doesn’t fill up because she’s lazy. Not because she’s a douchebag.
She doesn't have to be, in your house that's a blue job....

You realize you are talking to the guy who made his own furniture out of salad bowls right?

Advertising your wife being lazy instead of confirming to traditional gender roles is the weirdest flex I’ve seen in a while

We have pink/blue jobs in our house, but filling the cars just comes down to whomever is driving it when the light comes on. Thankfully neither of us is fucking stupid, so we manage to never run out of gas.

I think there was a disconnect in how I interpreted “blue”. See I didn’t think of this as some blue/pink dichotomy, but rather some kind of blue collar slant ( ie I’m too good to pump my own gas ) lol.

You might have an option to have the trip odometer automatically reset on fill up - some very cheap cars have that feature so I wouldn't be surprised if your Genesis can do it too. On my old car I had to enable it in the menu but it was there.
My car can be set like that but not her Grand Cherokee.

"blue job" and "pink job" has been something we have used (mostly joking) since we started dating almost 20 years ago. It is mostly used as an excuse for something you don't want to do and has less to do with stereotypical blue/pink jobs.

LoL "when the light comes on"!!
Apparently when the light comes on, the vehicles locks all the doors, rolls over and catches fire, aggressively. Do not, repeat, do not allow the fuel light to come on!!!

Younger I was no way in hell I would drive an SUV, now with our shortage of affordable and fun wagons I am getting a CX5 turbo. Need that space now for the kid. The stroller or Chariot we have takes up a lot of space and its hard to fix other shit on top of it a normal car. Now I am planning how much space do I need if we go on a road trip.

    My preference by age:

As a teen = Loved Japanese ricers (inspired by FF/Tokyo drift)

In early 20's = High HP Euro cars were attractive to me (m3 / c63)

In late 20's = Jeep wrangler, classic muscle cars, luxury Euro

Now = comfort Benz is my top choice for daily driver but I do notice myself window shopping for classic cars now more than ever (ae86, supra, mr2, 69 fast back...)

All that being said, I have been driving like an old fart now. From being lead foot speedster to feathering the pedal. Maybe the speeding tickets and gas price is just tooooo high in HK.
