Just stopped at McDonalds for a McDouble, person at the speaker didnt tell me what my total was. Person at the window didnt tell my what my total was, just stuck the debit machine out the window on the covid stick at an angle I couldn't see what the total was. Whatever, there will be a receipt in the bag, tap my card, next window. Get the bag and there *isn't even a receipt in the fucking bag*.

So, no idea what it cost today but I think it's approaching 3.50
$3.19 for a Mcdouble. $4.19 for a double cheeseburger. A whole dollar for a Kraft Single, that's some tasty inflation.

It's the cheapest time of the year for fast food as they all put out their best coupons to get all those new year resolutioners to fall off the wagon to save 90˘ on a fuckin cheeseburger.

Just pointing out that Dalio article @davidI posed 2 years ago vs today painted a totally different picture. Given yes, Dalio could never predicted the Ukraine war or China in total lockdown for most 2022 I guess.

He nailed the call on Bonds...

…If bond prices fall significantly that will produce significant losses for holders of them, which could encourage more selling. Bonds have been in a 40-year bull market that has rewarded those who were long and penalized those who were short, so the bull market has produced a large number of comfortable longs who haven’t gotten seriously stung by a price decline. That is one of the markers of a bubble.

Oh man, we'd go cruising around at night in the summer and there would always be a stop at Wendy's for a bag full of JBCs for what ever change or small bills everyone in the car had. If you were lucky there was a MADD checkstop that would give out free coupons for them so you'd circle through that 2-4 times if the ashtray change stash was getting low.

I have fond memories of highschool, when McD's had 49 cent cheeseburger day once a week. They had to start limiting it to 10 per customer.
