    Default Inflation - Hyper.

    https://www.businessinsider.com/mill...ecovery-2021-3

Always on the fear side, old people and the Weimar Republic. Still have to be on the optimistic side: Millennials.

1970s at around 18% made a lot of people rich, but it was also a time where there were gasoline shortages. Personally I think they will try negative interest rates first.

Loaf of bread is already pretty high at $3 if you ask me, but not impossible to do a GME. What is anything worth other than what people are willing to pay for it?

S&P500 is up 4x in 9 years, what could possibly be going wrong? Whats wrong with a average annual rate of 32% return.

Negative rates in general. Zero rates for the public.

Given that our lunch out each day has gone from approx. $30/2 to $60/2 over the last couple years let's pick a further target!

What really is inflation though? Are we calling it the gradual increase in cost of goods, or the gradual decrease in purchasing power for each dollar? If it's the latter, then the way population is increasing, there are more hands reaching into the money pot, that should keep the value of the currency higher than if the population was more or less the same right?

This is not the usual zenflops conspiracy thread - we are already past conventional monetary policy and into unconventional policy with things like "helicopter money".

Shrinkflation is side effect to hide inflation.

If you can't increase the price, decrease the size.

and then 6 months later put the size back to where it was, jack up the price, and call it "super size" or "JUMBO"

I mentioned this a few times back in December. Part of the Great Reset is to hyperinflation. Kinda follows the statement "youll own nothing, and be happy" lol.

Inflation hasnt changed but the rate has gone exponential. A coffee used to cost 5cents? Cost for basic needs has increased in multiple folds, while income adjustments are single digit changes. Also 2020/2021, the number of pay cuts and job losses exceeded those who had an annual adjustment of more than 3%.

Yeah. Hoarding can be a problem. Earn 0.5% more dollars per year on every dollar, or spend that dollar now - knowing that whatever you buy will probably be 5% more expensive next year. The math starts to favor hoarding.

With the sheer number of dollars out there, if a significant portion of the population (say 15%) starts to hoard converting half of their dollar saving to (lumber, alcohol, whatever) actual goods - then that's how it all starts. A literal panic wave of buying real things.

This generation has never seen it, but it looks like it might be happening (and not just TP)

#1 thing to spend on first though: Upgraded security, doors, locks.
