bikes loaded for another trip. This rack system has been working pretty well for me, and nice and easy to take completely off the rest of the time without any tools.

Although I wish I bought the retrax tonneau. This one is a pain to pull back without removing bikes and rack.

Nice! It looks like I found a solution very similar except my rack posts will have the bars at 18" so I should be able to roll the soft cover still with little inconvenience. They adjust up to a top of cab height too. I'll post the specs here tomorrow.

    eDiT:

    Here's the setup I am getting @ExtraSlow

It has the perfect combination of pretty much doing what I want and also being available in a reasonable # of weeks

Tirebob is a tuxedo dealer. Had the best price on some items when I bought mine.

Good looking setup. Post it when you get installed.

Yeah I hope it all works well together, I am trusting the accessories manager at Toyota here. But to his credit he's been selling me aftermarket stuff since the early 2000 Honda days and knows his shit pretty good. I am getting it supplied and installed for $2,284.79 which I don't know if that's a great deal or not but like I said in the other thread, salesbro for the truck is also an old friend and I wasn't interested in looking for discounts from him, would rather just see him get paid.

When I finally pick it all up and have it together I will update. Some parts aren't coming until late Aug.

    that looks... odd?

Not bad, but would a canopy not have been like a million times better?

Canopy serves a different purpose. I love canopies, but they aren't prefect. These racks are easier to remove or adjust for different needs. The one that Junior has can take a kayak really easily, or be slid to the front for bulk loading of gravel etc, for instance.

This. Easy on/off, way more versatile for kayak/canoe/bikes/rooftop tent etc. while still having full box access and tonneau cover use.

No solution is perfect, but this one will work very well for me.
