If anything we made a better decision because we had a consensus and were all on the same page.

We had the same thing happen here. Thief stole a used 2014 ML350. Sales men did a goof, thief got in drivers seat. Sales guy gave him the keys. Went around to the passenger side to get in. Thief locked the doors. Started up, and drove off with the Sales guy hanging onto the door handle, did a tumble.

I'll see if I can post up security cam footage without getting in trouble

Well imagine if instead of writing that letter to the editor, she just posts on a car forum for car enthusiasts. That's Kritafo.

People have automatic reactions to hold on to something - like a door handle - but JUMPING on a hood of a car is an actual decision.

This is why D handled tools/shovels are banned in many heavy industrial locations - if they get caught in something, people have to take time to think about letting go.

    Must have been a 3-Series.
Aren't those rare when compared against the world's population?
Only 0.2% of the population could even buy one each year and that's if you have enough credit to lease one.

I guess it wasn't a super new one or he would have been caught in the buck teeth.
Would they need a German dentist to get him out?

I'd say that more relates to that issue brought up at the time - gas & dash unpaid fuel was taken off of the employees pay.

If you're getting screwed out-of-pocket, at a minimum wage job. You might get a bit more testy...

The article says the dealer was family owned. Probably a relative.

^Yeah that sounds more like it. Kids first priority was clearly preventing loss at all cost as its going to hurt the business/cause a headache.

Holy hell, this was a thing before? That's insane.

As far as this kid goes, makes sense since it's family run. I'd probably have done something stupid like try and reach in or grab the door if I was in the same spot and got hurt as well.

It's specifically addressed in the labour code - but, it continued. Thus NDP's pre-pay legislation. Still somewhat occurs, I heard of one station trying to get employees to pay for the 'stolen/duplicated" chargebacks - even when it's pay-at-the-pump and they never see the card.
