Default Looking for a detailing shop in the deep SW

As someone who used to be a detailing freak, I just don't have the time to dedicate to doing a clay, polish, sealant, etc anymore.

That being said, I'm looking for a shop that can do a full detail on the exterior of my vehicle that will stand up to a detailing enthusiast's eye. I assume most shops don't do claybars and just do power polishing?

Somewhere in the deep SW would be ideal, or along the McLeod trail corridor.

    Thanks

    T

Detaliz is just off McLeod trail (near Chinook) and was my go-to before I started doing everything myself. Every time they seemed to do something extra, like touch up paint chips or scratches.

+1 I've had numerous detailings done there. The price is right too.

However if you want seriously good work, Jedd at Mobile Reflections. You are going to pay for it though.

Jed is at Porsche now (at least he was), and I contacted him about a year ago for some work and unfortunately you also pay grossly inflated Porsche prices (not Jed's fault). Not sure if that has changed since then or if he has started doing work on the side again.

Jed left Porsche since early 2020 already.

Do not bring your car to Porsche since Jed left. That place is managed very poorly now, at least if you were looking for the quality and service that Jed provided.

Bump to let everyone know Detailz has a good deal on this month. $300 for a full interior/exterior any sized vehicle. I have no affiliation asides from using them every couple of years.

Made my life a lot easier last week. My wife's disgusting Jeep needed the LCA's replaced, so I had them detail it, drove home in nice dry -30°c temps, and the undercarriage was perfectly clean to do the replacements.

I had my very neglected truck done today. Hadn't cleaned it since well before the last camping trip, or waxed it for probably two years.

How long do they require the vehicle for?
I had one done at Doctor Detail a couple months ago and they needed it for like 8+ hours.

Wifes disgusting CUV took seven hours, truck took six. Full detail mind you, claybar, one stage polish, sealant, full interior and engine bay.

So they likely have more than one dude working on it for at least part of the time. This sounds good.

Both times it looked like two guys, and mine was the only vehicle that day. Slow industry in January, hence the deal.

If they did it in three or four hours I'd be very suspicious.

I'm just looking over the truck in detail now, and while they didn't hit a few spots, like the door hinges, they cleaned the hell out of the box. My midgate hinge area was full of dirt and gravel from landscaping, all cleared out now, and removed everything from my 1/4 panel storage boxes and cleaned those too. I'm more than happy with this deal.

PSA though, don't get a detailing in January of you don't have a warm garage to air it out for a day, from the carpet steam cleaning.

Dr Detail in the southport parkade swirled the shit out of a black car I had polished there. This was probably 8+ years ago now, so take it with a suitable sized grain of salt.
