I put a used steak on Kijiji, I sold it for 20% than what I bought it for.

Is a single sheet of plywood really worth 1,000 pounds of crude oil? No wonder Venezuela is where it is.

    Stagflation?

The interesting debate is if this is rebound demand or pure monetary phenomenon.

Fucking tires have already had two substantial manufacturer increases from across the multitude of manufacturers. Wheels too are getting gross. Good times (not)...

My feeling is that it's more supply at the moment but I expect it will turn into demand (based on monetary/fiscal) for the next couple of years. In 3 years, I expect things to be deflationary again, unless the Fed decides that the Magic Money Tree can justify a $10+ Trillion balance sheet.

This is concerning since tires are one of my largest consumables personally.

I tend to agree. Economy rebounds, supply/demand gets all fuckered up we get inflation, and the geniuses at the CBs just want to party. Ugh.

This must solely due to lack of supply rather than demand. I know I have driven less than half of what I normally drive over the last year. I would think there is a fair majority in the same boat.

    Never waste a good crisis.

It's more like changing math to try to get 2+2 to not equal 4.
