The over under set at when she dies? I'll take the over, I bet she kicks the bucket first.

It was funny, they were both in all the headlines and I definitely read a couple stories about DMX and couldn't care less about a rich British guy. He's equivalently interesting as any 99 year old individual.

    Huh.

I find the lord high admiral of the British navy a million times more interesting than some rapper.

I know which person I would rather have lunch with.

    Different strokes I guess.

Take being a Royal out of the equation, this man was still legit. WW2 Naval vet who saw action and performed admirably and has done a lot of good with his title. Respect... RIP

His Wikipedia page doesn't mention that explicitly, but yes. Legit stud.

Life experience, sure Prince Philip wins. People who impacted my life personally? Definitely dmx. So many fun times in jr high/high school shooting the shit or driving around listening to his songs on mixed cds. Philip rarely ever crossed the mind throughout my entire life (not that DMX did much since like 2006) and I would bet most people too.

But anyways this is the Duke’s thread so I digress. RIP good Sir. Just under 100 years is a good run

I think he loved window shopping, but never sampled.

That was my understanding of the year long booze cruise of the South Pacific.

Wait, so now you're saying the man enjoyed a drinky-poo from time to time?¿!!¡?!

I was always led to believe he was but a mere Duke.

    RIP Prince Phillip.

So a bit of a interesting story. Prince Phillip passing has created a bit of a dilemma for our family indirectly.
Dad did not recover from his coma after his cardia arrest and died a week later. This was four weeks ago.
We had the funeral and cremation.
I booked a boat at Windsor for this Saturday. This is so our family could scatter his aches in the river. But the Duke passed away and it was announced his funeral is on the same Saturday in Windsor. We are trying to figure out what to do, traffic, parking etc. As from today, lockdown has eased off here too i.e pubs are open.

Yeah, when I ran into him first time - it was at a bar. Although arguably I spent more time talking to one of his two unmarked bodyguards.

Condolences Tony. I hope you're able to complete your plans re the boat/river/etc. I'd love to visit the UK right now, the family I have there is having a very rough go atm.

    Best regards.

When I lived in Hong Kong back in 1996, the Prince had an interesting reputation there, based on many comments he had made in the region over the years. My personal favorite was "what I really like about you Cantonese people, is that if something has 4 legs and isn't a table, you'll eat it". For a round eye like me, it immediately reminded me of my first time eating dim sum, and seeing the cooked chickens feet.

I remember that quote but I think it was made earlier than 90s.
