Default Recommend me a joint to detail/power polish my car

Looking for a place local here in Calgary to have my wifes car detailed. Main thing is she has a few long ass scratches on the passenger side that I would really like polished out if possible. I checked the paint and it's surface only and not deep, however, on a darker coloured car...damn scratches stick out like crazy.

Could also use an interior detail.

    TIA.

Yeah well I wonder how they get the soft flowing caramel inside the Caramilk bar but you don't see me making a god damn thread about it. Slap your wife Baygirl, straighten him out.

Detailz was getting love for that kind of work. I need the same thing on my wife van soon. Scratches and stains in the 3m film.

Tell me about it. I don't think I'd own another black car.

Probably go with white next time.

Peter at Precision Auto Films. Polishing out scratches and detailing is his shtick, and he is a great guy. Look at his insta for work he's done.

Well imagine if instead of writing that letter to the editor, she just posts on a car forum for car enthusiasts. That's Kritafo.

Wasn't a private jet flight your go to place for a vehicle detailing?

I highly recommend Mike at precise detailing

    www.precisedetailing.ca
    precise_yyc on IG

He does all the polishing for Kulu, BUT he only does exteriors.

What is your budget? The exterior work alone could easily be $2000 at some shops mentioned in this thread.

+1 for Detailz if you want the same quality work as more expensive shops at a reasonable price. I've used them many times before I started doing everything myself.

Or, if the scratches aren't too bad (you mentioned they aren't deep), for less money than a basic detail you can by yourself a decent random orbital polisher, a few pads, and some compound and it's super easy to do yourself with very low risk. Then, if you need to do anything more in the future it'll only cost you a bit of time, if you're willing.

If the paint is in really rough shape though you will probably be better off letting a shop do it, but multi-stage polishes can get expensive.

Great, thanks for the tips guys - I'll reach out to Peter at Precision and see if he can take look and how much.

Again, not deep scratches so I may be able to do it myself just don't have the patience.

I love having a clean vehicle, but man, I hate detailing lol too tedious for me. That being said, @gpomp do you do motorcycles? Lots of chrome...
