I think if I buy another truck it will have an 8 foot box and no room for passengers.
I keep saying the same, and my wife keeps glaring at me when I say it.

If I get push back I’ll remind her of the 3 times in 2 years she was willing to ever drive the truck when we had one. Basically when I was falling over drunk and we needed to get home.

I've come to the conclusion, after yeas of driving with my wife, that it's safer for me to drive drunk than it is let let her drive home. *

    *Not really, but it's close.

    Haha. It’s borderline true.

Ya but it’s not about paying. Just one less frequent errand. Has it’s disadvantages. Less car washes, dirtier car now. I’m not even Asian enough to whine about paying full price for a car wash because I didn’t need gas.

With the twinning project closing down tc1 for the next 2 months, pretty soon you won’t need 400hp. Can step it down to 350hp and pass safely on 2 lanes.
You were making passes where they're doing the twinning? Ballsy.

No, I meant at some point it’ll be 2 lanes all the way to Kamloops. Around the same time when Tesla’s can self drive.

Coincidence? I think not. Elon knows what's up.

My old Trailblazer SS was 6500/year for gas. I had the window sticker from when it was new, it was a $61,000 vehicle. Are you telling me you wouldn't concern yourself with a 10% annual running cost when purchasing a vehicle? Seems to me like that is a big factor.
Rather than looking at the total cost I think it's more helpful to look at per km or or something like that, and then compare it to other vehicles you are considering for the same price. They way you put it isn't wrong but it's not like owning a different (gas) vehicle would be $0, so the difference won't be nearly that big. It's probably more like $1-2K more than a different vehicle in the same class which is not even on the radar if you can easily afford a $60K vehicle. Wouldn't affect my decision in the slightest if that was the vehicle I wanted.
