LoL! I'd say that's a feeler at best. Unless that thing is beyond MINT I can't see that happening. But it is a pretty desirable vehicle for those in that space.
I sold my 350Z about two years ago for nearly double what it would've sold for 18 months earlier as it approached the potential appreciation curve and I have no ragrets.
Those Z32's are fantastic cars and have always held value reasonably well. I'm guessing with S2000's becoming lethally expensive that it's natural for their competitors to also escalate in value for those who think paying $50k for a heavy Honda are tired out.

The dealer selling it, sells luxury cars TMT Auto so they probably think its equivelent to a 95 Supra or some tuner head will buy it

I have an LP640 manual roadster. What would it sell for today? $1.5M? $2M? It's a piece of shit that isn't worth half that, yet now I never drive because I can't enjoy it knowing it's worth that much. I want to buy a Carrera GT and straight pipe it, but I'm not paying $1.7-1.8M USD for one.

I was lucky when I bought my cars - I got my gen 4 viper for $60k (had somebody recently offer me $250k for it) and my gen 5 acr-e for like $120k (now people are paying like $400k)
I just wish I'd picked up more stuff sooner, like an F40 when they were only going for a few hundred k.
