Default Formula 1 Pirelli Gran Premio Del Made In Italy E Dell'emilia Romagna 2021

The fuck is up with the naming of this race?

What a qualifying. Roller coaster of emotions through the session. Most exciting quali in a while. Gutted for Norris, but I’m excited to see McLaren race pace. Looked solid. Ham with a flawless first lap. Both rbrs made mistakes in their laps. Perez starts on softs might get a jump on Lewis tomorrow opening up a whole new element to team strategy.

    Go McLaren!

Too bad for Lando. Bottas went from pole last year to 4th row. It's going to be tough for the mid pack as I'm pretty sure there's going to be a crash on the first lap like last year as well.
Ocon and Stroll beat Alonso and Vettel.
Sucks for Yuki after a promising first race.

Surprised Bottas qualified so poorly after putting in good times throughout the practice sessions. Nice to see Checo getting a feel for the RBR so quickly.

Commentators didn't speak much of Alonso, Vettel, or Riccardo... all struggling to adjust to their cars it seems.

Great to see so many teams fighting for points this year. Even Williams didn't look too bad.

Definitely going to be a wild first few races with the top of the grid so tightly packed. Mercedes made a lot of progress in the last 3 weeks to remain competitive with the RB's. Very surprised that Lewis got pole. I thought it would have been Max, Perez or Norris for sure. The track is so unforgiving when they actually enforce track limits. Excited to see how the race is marshaled.

Well I know there won't be much passing. I'm hoping for some drivers to get flagged and changing things up. Don't burst my bubble, it's been 3 weeks since we had a race.

What time is it supposed to be tomorrow? I am in Calgary for the weekend and won't have access to my TV to be able to watch it, kinda sad about it. I am rooting for Ham until at least 1 more world championship.

You have a laptop? I setup a zoom call last race, screen sharing F1tv for a super high quality stream share haha.

Any guesses on which lap Mazepin will crash out?

It's pouring in just 1 corner. Alonso just went off heading out on the grid.

Good race overall. Can't help but wonder if Gasly stayed on the wet tire to hold up Bottas and help out RBR- not that it mattered in the end.

Good to see Norris' pace. It will be interesting to see if Vettel and Alonso can find better pace over the next few races.

Amazing to hear Toto come on the radio at the end and say Mercedes was still leading the constructors. Had flashbacks of Vettel in Hockenheim. Great recovery from the champ and a tough day for Perez.
It was cool to see a new generation 1,2,3 leading the race at one point outside of Twitch.
Waiting to hear/see any fallout from Russell/Bottas incident, if any.

Too bad Perez had a spin

It could’ve been a nice RBR double podium opportunity since he was 4th

Does it not seem weird to anyone else that they would give the fastest lap point out with DRS? Fastest lap up until that point was what, mid-high 1.7's... then Lewis gets 1.60 fastest lap passing Norris with DRS...

Also, can anyone explain why they lapped the rear-field for the red-flag? I have a hard time giving Lewis credit for second place when he got a lap for free. (he drove great, but positions 1-9 should be pissed) Or am i totally confused?

I agree, what horseshoes for hamilton getting a chance to unlap with the red flag after his fuck up. Definitely a hollow second place, he should have been much further back. As soon as Russell and Bottas crashed I was like great here's a nice freebie for Hamilton again.
