Default Anyone ship a bike to or from another province?

I have someone interested in my Litespeed frame/fork but he's from Manitoba. Has anyone here ever shipped a bike/bike frame either to or from another province? Just trying to gauge how much it would cost to do so. I don't want to go through all the effort of getting a box, packing up everything, and getting a quote only for him to shit his pants at what I'm assuming would be ridiculous prices and bail on the sale.

Look into Netparcel, basically like a group buy co for negotiating commercial shipping quotes which helps a ton with oversized items.

Saves me probably 50% on delivery of my rims from Quebec. They just sub out to whatever shipper is cheapest, UPS in my case.

I don't think it's that bad because proper bicycle boxes aren't heavy and have convenient handles.

Back in the day they were free to take on airplanes (as a passenger) "because sporting goods". Not that that helps you, at all...

Ground Canada Post parcel shouldn't be too expensive.
The frame and fork should fit on a very large Amazon Box, my guess is around 50-70$ with tracking and insurance.

I've sold a couple of oversized items online in the past and don't recall paying over 100$ unless shipping to Asia.

I think I paid $125 from Comox to Calgary but that also included the bike shop taking the bike apart and packing it properly into a bike box.

Thanks guys! Looks like buyer may have flaked out, but good to know for future reference. I got a $75 shipping quote for an aluminum tripod I was selling a couple months ago, so I just assumed a bike frame was looking upwards of $150-200.

In case anyone come across this and was curious, shipping a bike frame to another province in a 36" x 26" x 9" box costs just over $50 via Canada Post. Weight didn't seem to make any difference on price. I got the same quote whether the weight was 15lbs, 20lbs, or 30lbs.

Another data point: I just shipped a frameset to NYC and the cost was ~$125 with UPS and took 4 business days.
