    Default Favourite mechanics gloves

Light discussion on this snowy Sunday. What brand of "mechanics" style gloves do you prefer for general use? I don't do much actual mechanical work, but like this kind of flexible, breathable glove for yardwork, camping, and yeah occasional actual mechanical work. Gotta keep these soft hands protected.

I don't have a favorite but can say it's NOT the cheapass chand crew" brand I got from the isle end at Lowes.

Whatcha got, whatcha like, where ya buy em?

I usually buy mine from Mark’s and I don’t think I’ve ever bought the same ones twice in the last decade. (Watson brand most often) For general construction I pick the thinnest nitrile, cloth back ones with an actual cut rating. (some job sites require it). Nitrile will work with smart phones once you wear them for a few minutes. Then I have ones made to be water proof and others that are insulated, none with stupid plastic and rubber ornaments on them.

These Mechanix gloves from Canadian Tire or Mark's are the only gloves that fit my dumb hands. They're alright. Probably not worth the $25 a pair or whatever they are, but my choice is either these, or gloves that don't fit, or no gloves at all.

My life would be easier if I wasn't just one genetic blunder after another.

Or I'll wear nitrile gloves but don't care for sweaty hands.

I get these from work for free, so I use them. I've never found a pair I like that actually protects my hands from blisters when digging etc., so I use boxing glove wrap under an over-sized glove for doing that kind of stuff.

Home Depot has some decent Husky brand ones which are a good deal https://www.homedepot.ca/product/hus...ck-/1001014503

But to be honest I bought 20 of these last summer and they work great, best part if you get a hole in them just toss and grab another pair. https://www.homedepot.ca/product/fir...ves/1001382659 Can't go wrong for a $1 a pair!
