How much do you guys think “benefits” cost?

Because paying people double time all the time is NOT a good trade off against paying benefits.
A company's cost of an employee is about double their hourly pay anywhere with decent benefits.

Anyone heard anything about this budget being passed into law? There's been no news on it, and yea, my car has an ETA of 12/26 so really cutting it close on this stupid luxury tax business.

Pay your fair share RAJ! Nobody should own a luxury vehicle and those that do should feel guilty enough to pay more taxes to offset that guilt. It is the same reason that the carbon tax works. It doesn't reduce emissions but it does reflect the amount of assigned guilt one should feel for heating their home in the winter. Those that live in unheated igloos can live that guilt free lifestyle.

Also, I have no idea as to your question.

This year it'll also be potato farmers, since they banned exports. The feds will probably give them another 4 seats as compensation.

That's why God gave PEI potato farmers two hands.
One for the potato fed money.
One for the fishing fed money.

Which one is their more failed side hustle? You decide.

Luxury Tax delayed till spring budget.

The fiscal update also said draft legislation for a tax on luxury automobiles, boats and private aircraft will be released early in 2022, and the final design of a tax incentive for carbon capture and storage would be outlined in the spring budget. A proposed 1-per-cent tax on vacant homes owned by non-residents and non-Canadians is intended to come into effect for the 2022 calendar year.
