It usually takes the means to leave, aka $$ and transferrable skills.
Which the vast majority of people do not possess.

The reasons to leave or stay involve multiple variables, but a move itself is a binary decision. You can't half move - you decide when the optimal balance shifts from stay to go. That obviously hasn't happened yet for me. It has for many people I know (who are no longer in Canada).
Well I guess you can half move if you want to maintain properties in a variety of locations, but I think you know what I mean.
What, Darfur? I haven't heard about that place in ages! I'm pretty sure everything just sorted itself out, there. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
I've been checking out the real estate market in Mogadishu, and let me tell you there are some sick deals.

How the fuck are kids supposed to afford those?!
Australia still realizes its wealth comes from resources and while they have talked up a greener game, they're still filling their boots with yuan. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
"In December last year [2019], after six years of Coalition government, Australia's net debt position had more than doubled and was estimated to be peaking at $392.3 billion in 2019-20, before slowly reducing in size.
But this week's Budget shows that figure will explode in coming years.
Treasury is forecasting Australia's net debt position will be $703.2 billion for 2020-21 (meaning a net debt-to-GDP ratio of 36.1 per cent).
And that debt will increase to $966.2 billion in 2023-24 (to a net debt-to-GDP ratio of 43.8 per cent)."
https://www.abc.net.au/news/2020-10-...8%20per%20cent).
So not only was Australia able to release a budget last year, but their total debt for 2020-21 is less than double Canada's estimated deficit...
They key difference between AUS and CAN besides the weather is instead of a country filled with friendly hoser's you get a country full of cunts, and I suppose all the things that'll kill youThis quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
It's called labor mobility. It took me under 4 weeks to get to the United States from Canada using the TN1. It could have been faster if we plead our case with the US Border guards but we went for the pre-approval process instead. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

Interesting. Does that require a job offer from a US company? Or can any canadian with decent savings / qualified education just pack up and go then look for a job after they settle in?This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
TN1 still an employer sponsored one. E2 is where you drop some $ in a business for residency. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
E-series visas can be had for as little as $100,000 invested in qualifying USA businesses. With some of those, the visa can apply to all Canadian based employees of that business. Actually looking at that one for my bosses and spent some time with an immigration lawyer recently on this topic.
