Default Should the USA "protect" Ukraine?

Assuming that the USA version of protecting Ukraine would involve the deaths of maybe two or three million civilians.

Might as well just leave troops at the borders after "training" battles. Thing is, Ukraine has no nukes and they are technically mostly white people. Upside is that they do have a lot of stuff to plunder, which probably says more for Putin taking it, than the US "protecting" it.

Shouldn't Europe be spreading some freedom around and letting the USA sit back? Germany V Russia sounds fun and France hasn't lost a war for a long time unless you count the one against immigration and laziness, which they loose daily.

Everything USA touches turns to shit, so I don't think they should "protect" anyone. I got family in Ukraine, who are far worse off now than before USA came over there to spread their freedom. Before their so called revolution, they were actually doing pretty well for themselves relatively speaking, my mom went to visit our relatives there in 2011, now, I wouldn't step foot in that place. So much corruption there it's insane.

Surprised this hasnt been brought up yet - apparently there are 150,000 russian soldiers along the border now (compared to 70,000 american soldiers during the iraqi invasion).

While I dont know the accuracy of these numbers, there is something definitely brewing there. The Americans didnt start any new wars with the last potus, so I guess they are over due for some proxy action!

Back during the Bill Clinton presidency, the USA promised to "protect" Ukraine from any and all aggression so long as they agreed to surrender their nuclear weapons they had possession of after the fall of the Soviet Union. They gave up their nuclear weapons, and probably regret it now.

If it was China doing the project, it would already be done by now. Do or do not, there is no project.

Didn't realize you are not allowed to move your own troops within your own country.

USA needs to stay the fuck away. Ukraine is a useless wasteland, no point of protecting that corrupt country at the expense of many lost lives and another war. It hurts to say this given that I have Ukrainian roots, but that country has nothing to offer the world really, so fighting over it will just lead to bloodshed.

Russia moved troops to the border to show Biden how quickly they can mobilize to that area. It was a show of force to encourage usa to basically leave russia the f alone. I don't agree that US was not involved in the coup that overthrew the ukraine government. I also think that once that happened, putin's hand was forced and he had no choice but to secure Crimea as the naval base is there and you could not strategically let that into nato's hands. If you don't think USA would do the same if the roles were reversed, your crazy. And the ukraine coup was under who's watch????
