Rust belt of america. Was pretty rough ten years ago, I can imagine people are probably building tiny houses and squatting land by now.
Hahaha that's where my brother's wife is from - they had their wedding there. No wonder she wanted a Canadian resident card. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
It's pretty well top 5/10 in every "worst" city in the US whether it be crime, worst to live, etc. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
I suspect more 'accidental' shootings. Seem to hear about teens/kids playing around with guns and either shooting themselves or someone they're with. Just this past week, group of teens were playing with a gun in an abandoned house and 1 of them got shot, not sure if it was a fatality. Initial report was that they found that gun (loaded) at that abandoned house. Story has gone silent now. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

I've traveled from Texas westward. At least a dozen trips since the early 80's. Last one was a five week, 14k tour in Feb/March of 19. Never had a problem. Met countless great folk. My impression over the years is that there is geographic beauty everywhere. The weather can be great or shitty in all those places too. Nirvana starts from within. That said, the Wife and I have discussed this several times over the years, and really the only place we would be completely satisfied to move away from where we are now would be New Zealand, maybe Australia or Italy, ( have family there ). Within Canada, it would be Nova Scotia as she has family there and we own land there. We love to visit the US and almost anywhere else, but to live there and set up roots, not a chance.
