Intact is the largest P&C insurance provider in Alberta, I think somewhere around 20% - 25% market share last I heard? They've got their flaws and nobody's perfect but on the whole over the last 20 years they've been pretty good to partner with. Kind of like a long term spouse, there are days you don't LIKE them very much but there are more good days than bad.

I was with Intact my entire life, lol.

Btw, getting a large refund isn't exactly the best thing. Sorry to burst your guy's bubble. It's like tax. The bigger refund you get just means you got too much taken away prior to deductions.

I only got $90 some bucks back because I already got money back in 2020 by requesting my vehicles but put on parking mode early on. At least I THINK that is what happened... Right Bill?... lol

Like… are you guys just getting a refund because you never altered your coverage to account for never commuting and less vehicle usage?

Cause I’m that case, I got my “refund” every month for the last year.

"Are you driving less, or habe your driving habits changed during the pandemic?"

    "Y/N"

Changing your coverage doesn't matter. There's probably not a person in Alberta who couldn't honestly answer that question as Yes. Even driving to work every day since the start, the first 6 months my driving was changed because I drove safer with no one else on the road.

I lowered my coverage a year ago, got a reduced premium, and then got a big refund now. I'm no EIT, but it seems okay.

Did that day one of wfh. So my refund cheque was less. My guess is if your refund is high, your driving habits didn't change or you didn't call to adjust.

When is 89coupe going to posts his humble brag rebate.

I bet Aspen doesn’t even have insurance brokers, or mortgage brokers, or voles.
