I have a titan for a few months now. It’s good, not perfect.

I’d buy again, but I bought during Black Friday sales so saved some cash.

My wife loves it, I’m enjoying it. Not perfect though, better than 90% of chairs however.

Best chair I’ve had was doing 12s in a control room. It was an iron horse. Like $2600 hahah
    Those are the best chairs!

At home I have a Secret Labs Omega, and I really like it.

Is there anywhere you can go to try out some office chairs? specifically looking at the herman miller aeron vs steelcase leap/embody
Call these guys and see if they will let you try them. I know they had a showroom but no idea what it’s like these days.

EDIT: actually looks like COI only carries Herman Miller. You'd have to check another place to try a Steelcase.

I have never really used a gaming chair before, but I have destroyed every single office chair I have ever used from higher end ones to cheapies within a year. I think I am going to take a chance on this Titan XL... If it doesn't work out it is just one more chair on the pile! lol

    RGO for Steelcase

The Leap is rated to 400lbs the Leap XL to 500lbs. Both are considered a 24/7 Chair. But it's the warranty that sets it apart from then one your looking at. Lifetime on the frame and 12 years on everything else including the gas lift.

And I'm sure Herman Miller has roughly the same warranty.

Was driving by All Sold so I popped in and tried the Aeron and Leapv2. Ended up leaving with the leapv2 for $500 (its used). The aeron was going for 700.

I thought this was discussed beginning of pandemic and we all decided on Herman Miller chairs?
Did the CRA WFH credit not cover it?

I have the SL Omega and a HM Sayl. Both good chairs, but one day I wouldn’t mind splurging on the embody.

COI sells refurbed Herman Miller chairs as well, bought the gf a Mirra for $350 last year, nice chair and big upgrade from the piece of junk she was using.

I love my embody still, much more than my old aeron.

Its bizarre to me how important "gamer style" is for chairs and headphones.
It's all part of Zoom arms race and everyone is streaming on twitch.

    I need one of these:

Contemporary Office Interiors for Herman Miller
    RGO for Steelcase

...you also might want to consider looking at Haworth chairs too. (HBI)

Both places have floor models you can demo but because of covid protocols you need to call and book an appointment.

Are there any other high back chairs under the ~$600 range a guy should consider? I frequently work 12 hour shifts where I'm mostly in front of a computer and my current Staples special is trash.

Steelcase Series1 chair is fully ergonomic and easily under $600.

Steelcase website says they start at $697USD and the dealer's website in Calgary doesn't even have a price listed, just "contact us to discuss options, options, finishing, and pricing". This usually means $$$$$

The US web page is showing list pricing. Nobody pays list pricing. I can assure you a couple members on here have bought the chair and it was under $600. None of the contract dealers list pricing on their web sites. You will have to talk to someone from sales. (ask for Robyn or Chelsea)

I have to say, I am really impressed with my Secret Labs chair so far. Super well built, robust, firm yet comfortable and well thought out. I have no regrets.

I work as an account manager for RGO Edmonton a steelcase dealer, and can confirm you are able to get a series 1 under $600. you can also get a series 2 for around $600 and its a much better chair.
