    Why is that?

If it’s not on your allocated time you don’t have any entitlement to it lol

No different than any other fractional share property
Well… if a timeshare was ownership… all owners should also share in profits generated from the property, but it’s not ownership

This is 1/3rd ownership WITH 1/3rd use, which is probably pretty useless given the seasonality of use. Wtf would you buy into ownership of an asset that’s being rapidly depreciated with short term rentals without participating in that upside?

Your model would require you to pay back rental fees to the other owners when you are using and abusing it yourself. That seems pretty dumb. It’s not a business, it’s a toy.

You are welcome to rent it out for profit on your third if you think it’s such a good idea.

To me 1/3 the capital exposure on something I would never use more than a third the time seems like a good trade off.

Heck a third the capital exposure is probably less than a year or 2’s depreciation anyway in normal times.

Seasonality of use is easily factored into the allocation formula, none of this is rocket appliances.

It's a very popular option with general aviation aircraft, for all the same reasons - no reason it shouldn't work with exotic (ish) cars too IMO.

That’s exactly the analogy I am thinking of.

I saw an ad for a Hornet R/T on my instagram feed and was shocked at the price. Yes it is the R/T Hybrid, but still

I saw one of those for the first time this weekend.
    Had no idea they existed.
    What a terrible looking car.

Still pretty crazy given that's $10K more than Alfa Tonale version (or MSRP for that matter) and they are basically the same car. Also, $5K from the Feds are in play, dealer is just pocketing it.

I had to look up what a bz4x even was. Is this the first time anyone on beyond has posted about it?
Pretty sure it's mentioned in EV Megathread where it had stop sale on these on debut since wheels were falling off.

Outlander PHEV is 10g cheaper, if you can handle the ugly.

They're certainly big, but I don't know if they are the BEST I've tasted.

May be now, Platinum was doing stupid mark up when that debut and wanted $72K.

They've realistically lowered their advertised price now. Mid/High 50's on Platinums website.

This is basically just the new Dodge Caliber

I guess you pretty much are shelling out 100K for anything half decent these days
