i have been trying to claw back an extended warranty purchase from the dealer for almost a year. i think it's finally done but a wise man once told me, it ain't done until money in the bank /cleared lol i signed the paperwork in a hurry, went home and read the fine print and canceled less than 24 hours later but here we are almost 365 days later oh car dealers lol

I bet the average person isn't aware this is even an option. "They said it so I guess I have to" especially when using words like non-negotiable.

    So greasy.
I've never financed new so how does this work? Doesn't the owed amount to the bank already include the interest rates applied?

It works like an open mortgage you can pay out anytime unless you mean you never financed a house either

Oh, well then... that's not the same thing as mandated financing (the greasy dealership tactic I thought we were talking about).

I don't see a problem with it, as long as the terms of the Tesla lease are clear up front and Tesla isn't forcing the buyer one way or another. From what I can tell, you still have three options:

    1) Cash
    2) Finance
    3) Lease (Tesla's version of closed end)

@jutes , this was bothering me, so I double checked the situation with my Ford Finance account.
Any additional prepayment, or extra payment, is applied directly to the principal, and thus saves you the interest on that amount. So if you pay out early, it's less than the sum of the remaining payments owing.

I can't speak to how every type of automotive financing works, but this matches my understanding of what was common, and it's certainly how my current financing through Ford Credit Canada works.

Yep. We shut down for summer, taking 2.5 months off from buying and exporting. I just sold my car and I’m not sure if I want to buy something else or not now…

Things are slowly moving down right now for sure.

This Murci SV had sold on BaT last year for $865k. https://bringatrailer.com/listing/20...-murcielago-5/

Something fell through with the buyer and it recently resold for $700k on Carsandbids a year later.. https://carsandbids.com/auctions/KYM...-4-superveloce

Other supercars coming down too. Hopefully some good buying opportunities coming into the summer/fall.

    That could be BAT's tagline:

"Bring A Trailer. Something fell through with the buyer"

I remember when Ryan bought that car... He'll be OK

In the vein of pricing your car while blackout drunk, I see your all-original (except _________) S2K and raise you a completely not exceptional 300ZX for 2-3X what a far better example would go for:

Why do I suspect it might belong to the seller of the river house in Elbow Park

That's a nice car, remove a 1 from the front of the price, and he's got a deal.

so have we peaked yet? You guys keep track of the market far more closely than I have. My trader.ca search links have sat unused for months/years.

I was expecting something pretty outrageous, but the price was way more out to lunch than I thought it would be haha. Nice car though.

Peak implies a downward movement at some point. I think that's going to happen. Maybe a plateau for standard consumer/family vehicles. For "rare cars" or "exotics" or other limited production things, who the hell knows. Money Printer goes brrrrrrr.
