Anyone else thinking we might finally start to see a turn around in the next 12-24 months? MRSPs are still crazy, noticing a handful of dealers lots are starting to stay stagnant... Presumably the interest rate environment and inflation is going to have some sort of impact eventually? Hard to say I guess.

The conversation was about Toyotas, msrp, and reselling them for low cost of ownership.

Maybe Ryan can get you the primes at msrp, if he can get the allocation. Then its 3-4 year lead time (so you'll need a vehicle in the meantime, which will likely depreciate in value) at which point the market will be seeing some discounts, as a recession is likely in the next 3 years.

It's a stupid argument. You will suffer the cost of depreciating value in some way, shape, or form unless you are incredibly lucky.

Ya'll give Misterman shit for market timing talk, when that's all this circle jerk is but with cars

But then you guys suck the bossman off like he's some genius for stating the same things. EL oh EL
I’ve gotten 3 hybrids in the last 12 months. I’m not the only Beyonder he helped out.

    Applicable to F150 Lightning?

would be pretty tempting if it's the lightning + discount off MSRP + 0.99%...

I bet the .99% is only on the base XLT models or something. That's how RAM was advertising 0% to reel you in but then the model you want, oh that is not applicable to that and only on the base classic models.

Lighting is still in the 6% range. The .99% is really nice but they just removed the discounts so it doesn’t really matter at least at this point.

I can’t believe ram still makes the classic, even more crazy people are buying them.

Anything decent is hard to get these days and for the next while. I called a few Toyota dealers about getting on the list for a Land Cruiser.. one had 19 paid deposits, one wasnt taking names (?!?) and another had 6. Im #7. (And thats names only, they said they couldnt take a paid deposit until the models and prices were confirmed)
I've been under a rock and did not hear the LC news. That is amazing!!

I guess they can build them cheap with all the tooling from 15 years ago.

A lot of people are buying them. It’s an interesting strategy

    If I could re-buy my 2020 f150 with a 3.5L instead of a 2.7 in 2024 guise, I’d consider it.

Its not even the absolute lowest cost...it's just the lowest top line cost. In a venn diagram, the crossover of these people, and those who drive to Tsuutina Costco for gas when they stay at the opposite end of the city, is a perfect circle.
