    Yes.
    The questions were:
Where do I start looking and what are some scams/pitfalls that I should be aware of?

Toyota didn't slap a b58 in the supra without doing some homework. That alone should tell you the strides BMW has made.

Right before everything goes eletric.. which is kind of ironic

    $70k for a 7 year old GS F.

Probably should last longer than out of warranty M5s.
Love those GS-F's.. such a rip off though

Guess I'm in the market for another car. Sort of indifferent to what kind of car I want, but I haven't been in the market for another car in about 17 years, so I don't even know where to start. Especially since I'm buying used, I don't know what pitfalls to be aware of.
That same 4 square, dealer scam still exists. Because it works.

Anytime the salesbro has a "pricing worksheet" that he fills out in front of you, it's some form of the 4-square scam. Even if they don't have the actual 4 squares drawn on it.

Any salesguy who won't give you a quote in writing that you can take home can go fuck themselves. I basically won't buy a vehicle from anyone who won't negotiate by email.

Here's a good primer. Basically a way for salesbros to get you thinking about small monthly payments and showing you smaller numbers instead of a larger TCO.

I'm not following the auto strike, but what's going to happen to new car pricing if/when the strikers get their 40% wage increase? Higher labor has to be passed on to the consumer, so are we going to see $100k base mustangs???

I've seen stats that show that labor is 20 to 45% of vehicle costs. If you say 20% is right, then a 40% increasine in labor costs is only changing a %$50k car to $54k.

BUUUTTTT, if the manufacturer cannot recoup every cent of that in that one vehicle, it will have to trickle down to other models, and you can bet your ass other manufacturers will either a) hold customer pricing steady to gain market share of (my guess) raise prices to capture more margin.

If the big three have 40% higher labor costs in north America, they will be forced to DRASTICALLY reduce manufacturing here. It's basically the union ensuring that every unionized plan gets wildly less competitive and will be shut down. Crazy strategy.

I sold our LX570 to that dealership before leaving TX. The biggest one I’ve ever seen or been to. Also, google Gulf States Toyota structure to know why they have stock

Wow, that's insane damage. My grandpop had about 3 dozen old junker cars at his farm, to which I applied 1000s of rounds of .22 when I was just into double digits. Cars didn't look much different than those Texas ones, albeit they were made of sterner stuff back then.

I talked to two fleet managers at two different Ford dealerships today and they both said that due to the strike they are assuming that we will see the truck shortage again as they both think that it will be a long one and that Ford will be pulling all of the incentives and allowences on the remaining 2023 stock soon.
