    Amazon is paying $8.45 billion US for MGM, making it the company's second-largest acquisition after it bought grocer Whole Foods for nearly $14 billion in 2017.

    Can't tell if this is a big deal to the end-user. I guess content is king in terms of business valuation.

    MGM only has distribution rights for the bond franchise. This is why the bond franchise hasn't really been an attractive sale.

    Yes, but will probably take a while for existing distribution agreements to expire before all the films are on Prime.

    MGM also owns Rocky and Creed franchise, hope Amazon does more with that.

    Danjaq (Broccoli) got final say on every Bond project.

    Sony only owns the Daniel Craig Bond movies so far but not the upcoming No Time to Die.

    MGM owns the streaming rights so it's not hard for them to all land in Amazon after acquisition.

    So what's next, Walmart/Netflix merger to fight Amazon?
