A good friend of mine in Florida met a girl at a bar (remember, legal drinking age is 21) and dated her casually for a few months. He busted her in a few lies here and there and eventually found out she was 17 and still in high school. He ended the relationship right then and there.

A month later, her dad pressed charges, and he was arrested. He talked to the girl and said it was her dad's decision and she had nothing to do with it, and nothing she can do. Eventually, he was found guilty of statutory rape. He's now a registered sex offender in the state of Florida, and has problems doing any serious travelling (he owns a network security firm).

Absolutely nothing happened to the girl for lying about her age for a few months. You'd think meeting a girl at a bar would be safe (21 for drinking, 18 for sex) but nope... she ruined the guy's life. He now checks for ID's haha. It's a bizarre ritual, but really, you gotta do it nowadays because bitches are fucking retarded.

Since then he's lost everything. It's pretty fucking sad. I'm not sure if anything's changed since then (US or Canada), but stories like this were plenty back then.
