And so what? Your gf's boyfriend can make up the difference. You just make sure the toilets are cleaned and bed is made.

This is not an advisable approach. In fact, it’s basically the worst approach (for you, it’s great for her) if you don’t have a cohabitation agreement in place.

Definitely one of those situations that seems like a great idea, right up until it’s a complete disaster.

Awesome it's a done deal, sounded like a bit of a headache.

Everyone always has the best intentions going in, never hurts to protect yourself though. (Luckily I've never had to deal with the worst case scenario)

I can’t believe you guys think I would do that without having something written in case something were to happen. I have been screwed by the female type before, I know how things go.

Also hasn't the Beyond advice been that prenups don't hold weight if truly tested?

I know people who have held onto everything after a breakup. But there was a lot more than a prenup involved.

I actually know a guy who not only kept everything, but whose wife owed him over 6 figures because she kicked him out of the house during the separation and arbitration and he was able to claim grievance expenses against that.

I'd run that scenario through a lawyer. Sounds like a gift to me

The way you said it just made it sound like a normal separation but the wife was the sugarmama.

Like if 89coupe got a divorce, he would keep everything plus get easily 6 figures, if not 7 (.2).

Couldn’t be farther from the truth in this case. He was extremely wealthy to begin with, she came in with nothing and never worked a day in her life.

For perspective 7 figures were offered to her to walk away, she snubbed that and got slaughtered in litigation.
