No doubt bad things happened at these locations, but all our lives we've heard of stop work orders and no dig circumstances because of it being a 'possible indian burial grounds'.. Now these discoveries are saying they are using 'new technology' to scan the ground without disturbing it (lidar or something I assume?) So what exactly are they finding - could be a field full of rocks for all we know if its some jack off like on oak island, with a lidar tool making these discoveries - the machine is beeping again! Add another kid to the list.

Its not like they took 200 kids out back one day and killed them - there were news papers back then too if such events went on. Over the span of 150 years there's likely been 1000 white kids died at school from peanut allergies and choking hazards too.. but they weren't buried on site.

Indigenous folks have been claiming that they were dying due to criminal neglect at the schools for decades now, no one believed them. They even claim sexual abuse and other horrifying things. They claim many ran away and died trying to escape.

We're only now starting to see real proof of their stories.

Tax payers pay, at least in Alberta. Every deceased person is given a free funeral and cremation if the person is identified (assuming no family is found to foot the bill) , or burial if the person is unidentified.
