Because with residential schools, as with most FN issues past and present, it isn't enough to study the history. We must also do more: acknowledge current inequities, and words are not enough "real action must be taken", etc etc.

The concept of reserve finances came up because the other shoe to drop is a request for reparation....err....reconciliation and an expectation of money or some other special program/assistance.

The goal of the current residential school discussions/controversy is to transmit the culpability from the past into the present. It isn't enough to recognize the crime, but rather it must also be used to assign guilt to the current version of society. This is because guilt drives funding by expertly utilizing Canadians' constant desire to feel better about themselves via a guilty conscience.

Sorry to confirm since I heard this second hand but dug up the info.
the use of outdoor stoves or other portable campfire apparatus without a Canadian Standards Association (CSA) or Underwriter Laboratories of Canada (ULC) rating.
I think most are csa approved.
