Jacuzzis been bought out by a bit conglomerate. They are not the same tubs as any family may have owned for a long time. They've been involved in some pretty big recalls recently. IMO if your buying a jacuzzi today your taking a gamble.
The shows are not cheaper. Don't buy into that.
This is the slowest time of the year for hot tub companies. Waiting till spring or for fall will cost you more as that's when everyone else is looking.
Great, so buy one now?

Water hotter than sensor indicates.
Buy a used hot tub. Aren't they virtually free instead of $10k if they're "used".
And by used I mean "for the first two weeks of ownership and then left to sit for the next 312 weeks before being given away to prep the house for the divorce sale."
Yes, profit off people's narrow mindsets.

I’d be sketched about a used hot tub. Lots of places for it to leak, and leaks can be tough/expensive to sort. I wouldn’t be confident I could ensure there’s zero leaks on a used (and likely neglected) hot tub. For that reason, I’m out.
Bought a used tub just pre COVID (perfect timing).
Ended up having a multitude of issues, used it for 1.5 years and I got really good at fixing it.
Sold it for ~$2,500 more than we bought it for right near the end of COVID.
Waited a year as we remodelled our backyard and bought a new tub with warranty.
Buy new.
I would never. Fucking disgusting. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

Hot tubs are like whores. You should only enter them at hotels. And never bring one home.
Tap, Rack, BANG!
Sold mine a while ago. There was one other ad that claimed a fully functioning unit at the time.
Mine worked 100%, guy that bought it texted me afterwards and told me it worked great. His wife was hawt.
I'm too poor to buy any hot tub, but yeah, I do agree you'd better be getting a decent discount to allow for the likely repairs required.
Hot tubs are pretty fragile anyway, so even if it worked before, could crack something when it's moved or installed. Buying new with warranty is better, just a question of your ability to pay for that, vs your ability to do diagnostic work.

Most people don't know that water expands when it freezes, which is something that's good to know when draining a hot tub.
It's way cheaper to buy the good drugs than a hot tub for your swinger party.
The problem is that I can use my hot tub every night. If I do that with drugs people might say I have a problem. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
