Out of curiosity, how much would an autobody shop charge for rust removal like the picture above my post?
Not rust, but I had a perfect trunk from a 2009 Honda civic that I just needed painted and they were going to charge me over 800 for it.

The above mentioned premier shops won’t even touch rust repair

Just want to bump this thread and ask R!zzo how the repair is holding up and if anyone else had work done by Eli?

I got an estimate from him today to fix a door and rear quarter panel and the price seems very good.

Yeah well I wonder how they get the soft flowing caramel inside the Caramilk bar but you don't see me making a god damn thread about it. Slap your wife Baygirl, straighten him out.

I gotta give this guy a call. Maybe he'll freshen the paint on my car for a reasonable price. 26 year old paint not what it used to be.

lol what's it matter? looks 100x better than it did, it's not like he's repairing expensive cars.
Exactly. At least he's welding in metal for strength rather than spraying in foam and bondo'ing over it. And it looks like he did a decent job of cutting out the cancer, so it should be at least somewhat long-lasting.

Well I stopped by today to see the mustang. Body is completely sanded smooth and first coat of primer sanded. He should be doing a 2nd coat of primer and likely a final 3rd coat and painting this week. Then he will have to reinstall the door, trunk, spoiler, lights and all of the other stuff that he took off and I will take it home and install all the trims, gaskets and window that I removed at home.

I have a lot of before photos so now just need the after

If any of you want to give him a call his number is 403-899-6188 and his name is Ilie. He works out of his garage / shop in Delacour. Great guy and you can have a look at what he has done so far to my mustang and he can show you his before photos.

BTW I let him know that I was posting about his work on beyond.ca and that he would likely get a few phone calls from guys wanting good work at good value prices. I will send him a link to this thread once I post my photos as well.

I'll be using Eli to repair two of my trucks. I'll post pics when they're done.

I have a guy in Blackfalds who does decent work, but this guy seems like he would have been a better deal.

I'll keep it in mind for getting the rest of my truck box repaired.

I been meaning to update everyone one on the Excellent work that Eli did for me. I have now washed my car 3 times and been driving it for a little over 2 weeks and the paint looks fantastic!

I brought the car to him with a thick and rough coat of primer applied over the body filler work that I had done in my garage due to large hail damage. Eli fixed a lot of spots were you could still see the hail and then he primed the car and painted it. He worked on my drivers side, roof and trunk. He offered to do a full car polish as well and some paint correction as i have a few scuffs on the bumpers but I declined for this one as I will likely be selling anyways.

I will personally be using Eli again to do an entire car for me once I find a new project this fall
