I'm voting against the referendum. Not because I support equalizations, the system is dumb as fuck; but this referendum is just bullshit fodder for more UCP vs Fed arguing and will accomplish nothing productive. All its going to do is give Kenney support to form another useless committee that'll waste more of our money like the war room. Voting for this referendum is just a vote to waste a few million provincial tax dollars for nothing.

This referendum will end up exactly like everything else in this province ( and country for that matter).

NDP voters will vote no because it came out of Kenneys office, UCP voters will vote yes for the same reason, and “Alberta party” voters will shake their fist at clouds and claim they want some “middle ground” but in reality just won’t be bothered to vote.

Nothing will improve and everyone will blame each other when the only ones we have to blame are ourselves.

What's an "Alberta Party"? The ones who got wiped completely the fuck off the map in the last election? Led by Capt. Bowtie former Edmonton Mayor and enthusiast of providing an office for his dog, Stephen Mandel?
*Literally... An office in City Hall for his dog to stay in, all day.
I voted for those twat gobblers and please be assured that I'll vote FOR telling Ottawa that Western Canadians are tired of the bullshit from Upper Canada.

Incidentally, did anyone noticed Stephen Mandel recently resigned from the AHS Board?

Votes against the only thing that can realistically be done to even start the conversation. Smrt.

Also worries about wasting money but votes for the most spendthrift political parties. Lol

Is there any way the equalization referendum doesn't pass?

I'm wondering if there are enough NDerP voters out there that will vote to leave things alone to spite Kenney, even though a rethink of federal tax distribution is needed for Alberta's sake.
Absolutely, the question is worded as such to almost ensure there is no referendum. Most Albertans will see something about equalization and just vote NO because they don't like it.
