I was pretty broke at the start of this pandemic. I'm a little better capitalized now.

Yea… more chart isn’t doing it any favours

I think the technical term is “pretty mediocre”, all things considered.

Easy double gains since the dip, all things considered, I will check back in next year.

If you guys want a safe place to make a killing, buy into PPL.TO

    Huge upside
Even if I peg it to the exact date you decided to pump the stock... Still no. Mediocre.

I wonder what it looks like if we compare the S&P to the full history of the stock since you like to brag about being a long time shareholder?

My Canadian S&P fund had a 56% gain since the dip in March 2020
PPL has had a 76% gain since the dip in March.

SPY was 85% but what was the dollar trading at in March 2020?

So you bought PPL as some kind of clairvoyant FX bet on the dollar blowing out? Cause the underlying business sure didn’t generate an excess return beyond the index.

There are more intelligent ways to play FX, including hedged index funds if that’s your game.

Or keep deluding yourself that you are some trading whiz generating a double when the entire market doubled.

I’m not a trading whiz at all lol

I’m just stating obvious numbers from the dip to now.

I’m assuming most took a risk during the dip and bought a substantial amount of their favourite stocks?

    Carry on LOL
