    Default Deck Screens

We have a covered portion of our deck that we are looking to enclose for some sun/wind relief.

So far quotes have been $13,000-$15,000 for three 10.5 by 11.5 foot motorised screens.

Seems ridiculous, has anyone done this and have any recommendations?

    Just a quick $15k?...
I will blow you, then custom engineer a one-off solution to eloquently solve your issue and build it, then blow you again...
    For $EIGHT-k

Why does everyone hate providing a valuable service at a fair price?

It's not the size that matters, it's the taste it leaves in your mouth.

I'm tempted to find a decent contractor and start up a business, another quote comes in at around $11,000.

Wish I was more handy and not the son of a lawyer who just paid for everyone to fix things construction wise lol

My friend got a kind that Home Depot carries, but they don't know anything about, so he had to learn everything about it on his own.
I'm sure it's nowhere near that big, but it is pretty fancy. It has some sort of wind sensor that will retract it, if needed. Think of it more like a motorized shade awning than what you're trying to do.

120 sq-ft each is pretty huge... Maybe $11k isn't that crazy?

A tarp is to shade screens as an upsidedown Scarface blanket is to curtains.
