so I managed to get my hands on a Blueparrot B250-XTS... and I can literally sit in the car with the stereo on and only be heard when I speak.

This one is 91% NC so not even as good as the latest Blueparrot offerings (i.e. 350/450/550) but I didn't also want the bulky size.

impressive stuff. I get that these aren't for a gaming or audiophile application, but the tech is something else and perfect for what I need.

Thanks for the recommendation... this is by far and away the "BEST" noise cancelling MIC I think I have ever heard.

Interesting. Last week, all colors were on sale. This sale was on the bose site, microsoft.com, etc.

For anyone that cares, quietcomfort buds are also on a pretty deep discount (not as good of a deal as the 700s though).

edit: the quietcomfort buds are on sale at costco as well, but come with a 3yr warranty.

I keep pretending that I'm going to buy these "good" NC headphones, but I think I'm just fooling myself. At least until I start traveling again.
