    Do go on
Short story short, timing chains and crazy oil consumption. It came up in convo with him about my concerns with the 3.0T, but I didn't continue the 2.0t discussion because I don't have one haha.

I had an 09 Audi. Had bad oil consumption and a faulty tensioner and guides all fixed under the extended engine warranty. It was a POS and I swore never to buy an Audi again. I hear the new 3.0 motors are worse and that any type of major engine work requires them to drop the subframe/engine and separate the motors for transmission. The timing chains are in the back of the motor now lol.

The timing chains have been on the back of the motor for 20 years, that’s why the labour cost is so high.
