I'm all in. Got nearly a thousand bucks of steam credit from playing the steam market like it was a game, which it is.

Hopefully they take steam credit that is.

That's impressive. Ive had some decent items from CSGO and DOTA net me close to 300 total, but that's just luck. Do you buy and hold or just try to flip items for tiny profits?

Its entirely due to buying halloween cases on TF2. I bought regular crates too, but those all paled in comparison.

Yup got the 512, 9 minutes in. BTW: Violet vermin cases are a good buy at 13 cents, if you ask me. Probably worth much more if you wait a year, just before halloween to sell though. Its grindy doing cases, but ok if you have the time.

    Haha, $1000?!?

I made a couple hundred over the years, but wasted it all on games. Early days of the market was some wolf of wallstreet level shit though - I remember sitting on the computer for hours on end buying low, selling high and making those nickels and dimes, lol.

Its definitely way more fun to play the steam market, than a game based on capitalism. Real people buying virtual items, pick the winners.

Something oddly satisfying buying for 3 cents and selling for $3.

Pre-orders now being pushed to Q1 and Q2 2022. Wouldn't say crazy demand, but global chip shortage probably has a lot to do with it.

I didn't even notice that until today, my 512 is showing Q1 and then the other two are showing Q2. I had hoped I would get it in December getting my order in at 11:05.

I'm not sure if that means its just generic for anyone that orders now or in the future. Still hoping for December here as well.

"Your expected order availability: Q1 2022" Hasn't seem to have changed, ordered 9 minutes in.

Its pretty rough having things delivered in Calgary in Jan-Feb. I'm always worried it will be damaged in shipping on an extreme cold snap.

They are probably targeting 100,000 units a week or something like that. Which could easily mean Xmas next year for those that order late.

Great premise for stock picker co-workers, get $100 in steam credit and try to expand it to the price of a steam deck by the time it ships. I'd think it would even it outside possible with $50 to start.

"The launch of Steam Deck will be delayed by two months.

We're sorry about this—we did our best to work around the global supply chain issues, but due to material shortages, components aren’t reaching our manufacturing facilities in time for us to meet our initial launch dates.

Based on our updated build estimates, Steam Deck will start shipping February 2022. This will be the new start date of the reservation queue—you will keep your place in line but dates will shift back accordingly. Reservation date estimates will be updated shortly after this announcement.
Again, we're sorry we won’t be able to make our original ship date. We'll continue working to improve reservation dates based on the new timeline, and will keep you updated as we go.

To view your updated expected order availability and FAQ, please visit the Steam Deck store page."

Looks like summertime next year for mine.

Great price. Might have to check it out.

The whole format of it reminds me of scrolls, back in the day before books were made. We have come full circle.
