I would pull them by hand, unfortunately.
Extremely, extremely careful Roundup application only only only on the weed leaves should be ok but will be about as much work as pulling them.

I have this same problem and we just pull by hand every week, the big problem is alot of top soil and garden bed soil sold in those big bags around Calgary have loads of weeds in them. Also people put weeds in the green bin that can survive the cities compositing system (creeping bell flower) so you might be getting it from that too if you got the free compost. My vegetable garden beds are infested with weeds.

Yea in a bed pulling is essentially your only real choice.

Soak the beds before and it will be a bit easier to pull the weeds (but also messier so wear gloves)

Thistle and quack grass are the two things I hate the most about garden/lawn care.

Fuck those things. Give me dandelions all day long.

I get fucked over hard with weeds in my garden bed too - bane of my existence. I spray some areas with a soap/salt/vinegar combination that are farther away from the shrubs and plants, but hand pull the rest.

damn, i thought there was a magic solution for this lol.

i have weeds growing literally in the middle of my barberry shrubs, so plucking the weeds out can be a pain in the ass.
