My condolences to the people of Pudding and Haagen-Dasz. Not an appetizing way to start the week

The other way around. That flood in China got more rain in 2hrs than Germany's flood in 3 days.

China is still world champ in top 5 flood deaths of all time.
watched the videos of the vehicles stuck in the tunnels while the water poured in. Looked like a scene in a movie. Apparently they opened the flood gates and led to the flash floods in cities down stream. Not to mention the rain volume and the already poor infrastructures.

They estimate 6000+ died in the tunnel. But gov sent in military to cover up and ban any coverage. They may have banned WeChat new registration since they can't ban account fast enough for pictures and videos to be leaked out. They also told citizen to go after journalists, especially foreign ones that tried to cover the flood.

It's a bit bias coverage like Epoch times but the videos don't lie.

North America is a desert by comparison.

In the long run though, having that much rain could make China a non-coal energy powerhouse.
