Did a little poking but their respective websites have been down for a bit and gone from former dealership groups pages.

Looks like a “Grand Touring Automobiles” picked them up?

Drove by Distinctive the other day and noticed their showroom was cleared out except for 1 or two cars. The parking lot was empty too, so it seems like they are moving up the hill.

Buyer wanted the premier brands. Picked up a dealer or two in bc. Owner is from ontario

You don't sell the one that makes money to save the one that's hemorrhaging.

Both dealers (particularly Distinctive) were small dick vanity projects... You can only milk your profitable businesses while flushing money down the drain for so long - frankly I'm surprised it took this long.

Rumor has it that the Lamborghini building has been for sale for some time. If they could get off the property, presumably they'd move into a smaller, warehouse-style operation similar to Pfaff.

Edit - also worth noting that Grand Touring now has the Rolls franchise, which was previously part of Ferrari Alberta... They essentially took out three in one. My guess would be that Grand Touring went to Rolls and said "we'll take the Rolls store in Calgary too" and Rolls said "OK" and Carlo G said "thank god"

Looks like they'll be consolidating into one location, but I'm not sure which spot, or if it would be a new location... My guess would be that Asgar sold the whole-shebang and got the heck out of Calgary altogether.

I liked the setup and strategy of Weissach and I'm never a fan of dealerships being swallowed by conglomerates.

I mean. Distinction is basically 6 of one half a dozen of another.

Two big national groups of dealers.

I’ve never dealt with Weissach personally so I don’t have an opinion there.

I guess in this case they are setting up a one stop shop for ultra high end vehicles in the city, that doesn’t do much for competition though.
