Let's say a grand of dealer fees and a couple grand of mandatory options. Basically you and I agree on the price.
    Aye

Looks not too bad. A refined Type R if you will (much like the Integra/RSX/ILX always was).

Has to be priced below the TLX, but above Type R. I assume $58k is spot on.

I quite like the recent Acura styling honestly & would seriously consider it if the rates weren't terrible & I could get another cheap lease Honda, lol.

EDIT & if they offered Orchid interior like the USA (It was an option ONLY on the gold paint TLX Type S in previous years & now removed):

It's a fat girl on Tinder who's figured out how to take a sexy picture that masquerades her ample girth.
Acura has the angles pics nailed on this puppy, its like a pretty girl (or guy? or they? I don't want to be cancelled) with an flat ass

I think it looks nice and the rear of the car is the best part.

Anyone get on the list for one of these? When all the FL5 CTR sold out alot of buyers put deposits on the Type S back then, and smartly so. I estimate this will be about 58k CDN MSRP maybe more.
Agree to disagree I guess. I can't unsee a massively stretched out and flattened CLA rear end and to me it looks awful.

A shame too because the rest of the car is decent, and this type s thing sounds ok

I haven’t ordered a new car before and just buy what’s on the lot.

What is this list you speak of? Is it to have an opportunity to build your own or have the opportunity to buy one that’s coming?

About $66k on the Acura website with some "mandatory options" plus gst. Let's say it's a pretty good deal if you can escape the dealer for about $71k all in.
I just bought my dad a '23 tlx type-s to replace his daily driver. Was $70k (all in), but $1,200ish was for 3M bumper/hood ppf, so without that $68.8

You need a 4 door car.

You don't want something too expensive (porsche)

You don't want something that will cost an arm and leg outside warranty to maintain (audi, bmw, mb)

You don't want something that will fall apart (hyundai, kia)

You don't want something that will rust if you look at it (mazda)

You're left w/ Honda, Dodge, Acura, Nissan, Infiniti and Lexus

That's a fascinating decision tree you mapped out there.

I wish they would put leather racing seats but they are going for more luxury. Real question is can you test drive first? lol

We’re at 10 years now on the wife’s 2013 CX-9, daily driven. And the only rust it has is on the steel suspension components (arms, subframe etc,) and trailer hitch on the underside. Which is probably similar to most of its contemporaries.

Sell it before year 15 or get ready for that rust to swallow the car.

I would add Acura to the boring list, and Subaru to the rust list. There’s really no car that does it all.

I was disgusted by the look of the New Integra, but this Type S looks real nice.

Yeah but an Accord has always done that at a far better price point. Acura just doesn't make sense to me as the Civic and Accord are straight up better offerings than Acura cars when you factor in what you get for the money. The TLX is pointless at its price point and quite frankly so is the Integra. The Canadian Civic Si is a far better buy than the Integra. Without a RWD platform Acura's just don't offer enough differentiation from the Honda offerings IMO.

AWD vs FWD is a significant differentiator in our climate, IMO. FWD is the suck for 7 months out of the year. (obviously this doesn't apply to the integra)
